Iowa Council on Assistive Technology

The statewide Advisory Council, also known as ICAT, is made up of a consumer majority. State agency and disability organization representatives also serve on the ICAT. The ICAT approves the IPAT State Plan, reviews data, and provides input on program activities.

We are always interested in speaking with potential new members and are periodically recruiting for our advisory council. Members should have an interest or experience with assistive technology. To learn more about being a member of ICAT and the application process, please call us at 800-779-2001 or email us at IPAT@uiowa.edu.

The Iowa Program for Assistive Technology is funded under the Assistive Technology Act of 1998, as amended by the U.S. Department of Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration. IPAT, the statewide assistive technology program for Iowans, is a program of Iowa's University Center for Excellence on Disabilities.
